Neva Derewetzky is a composer and sound designer based in central New York. She received a Masters of Music in Composition from Binghamton University in 2023 and Bachelor of Music in Composition from the College of Wooster in 2020 both with departmental honors and awards. In Fall 2021, Neva had her orchestral piece, On Cassiopeia’s Throne performed by Grammy-award winning group, The Cleveland Chamber Symphony. Since attending Binghamton University, Neva has collaborated on a number of projects in the community. She has enjoyed performances and commissions from the New Thread Saxophone Quartet, Momenta Quartet, the Syracuse Youth Orchestra, Hub New Music ensemble, the Binghamton University Theatre Department, Binghamton University Symphony, and Binghamton University choirs.

She has enjoyed international recognition and awards for her work in audio recording and sound design, including international broadcast of her recording works done in Paris, France during the European American Music Alliance summer festival. Additionally, she received a Kennedy Center Distinguished Achievement award for her sound design and composition.
