Composition Lessons & Private Mentorship
Whether you're an aspiring composer developing your first original works or an experienced musician looking to deepen your compositional practice, I offer individualized composition instruction tailored to your interests, experience, and artistic goals.
With over ten years of teaching experience and a Master of Music in Composition from Binghamton University, I bring together academic training, professional experience, and a passion for helping students discover and develop their own musical voices.
Lessons draw from a wide range of compositional disciplines, including harmony, counterpoint, orchestration, musical form, contemporary techniques, and electronic music. Students are encouraged to explore their creative interests while developing the technical skills and artistic confidence to bring their ideas to life.
As an active composer whose work has been commissioned and performed by professional ensembles, recognized internationally, and featured in broadcast and recording projects, I bring practical insight into the creative and professional worlds of contemporary music.
My goal is to provide students with the tools, guidance, and creative freedom to become thoughtful, independent, and confident composers.
Saxophone & Piano Lessons
Whether you're picking up an instrument for the first time or looking to refine your existing musicianship, I offer individualized saxophone and piano instruction tailored to each student's experience, interests, and goals.
With over ten years of teaching experience, I believe in creating a supportive and engaging learning environment where students can develop strong technical foundations while discovering their own musical interests and creative voices.
Lessons incorporate instrumental technique, music reading, ear training, music theory, and repertoire development. Students are encouraged to explore a variety of musical styles while building the confidence, discipline, and curiosity needed to become independent musicians.
My teaching philosophy centers on balancing technical growth with creativity and musical expression. Above all, I want students to develop the skills and confidence to enjoy making music, pursue their interests, and build a lasting connection with their instrument.
